Services related to the employment of foreigners

Declaration on entrusting work to a foreigner

Simplified procedure for employing a foreigner who is a citizen of Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. It entitles a foreigner to perform work without the obligation to have a work permit for a period of up to 24 months.

Work permit

Standard procedur which allow the employment of any foreigner in Poland for a period not longer than 3 years. There are several types of work permits (A, B, C, D, E and S). Each of them is characterized by different circumstances of employment of a foreigner. The procedures and criteria for issuing permits also vary depending on the type of permit.

Notification about entrusting work to a citizen of Ukraine

Following the entry into force of the provisions on assistance to Ukrainian citizens, it is possible to entrust work to a Ukrainian citizen by notifying the competent labor office. If a Ukrainian citizen entered Poland due to hostilities in the period from February 24, 2022 or is staying legally on the territory of the Republic of Poland, his or her work may be legalized only on the basis of a notification about entrusting work to a Ukrainian citizen.

Services related to the stay of foreigners in Poland

Temporary residence permit
(TRC)

A temporary residence permit entitles you to legal stay in Poland for a period of 3 months to 3 years. It is issued due to various circumstances, e.g. performing work, running a business, reuniting with family or studying. It authorizes the holder to travel, together with a valid passport, within the Schengen area countries.

Permanent residence permit
(permanent residence card)

A permanent residence permit allows you to legalize the stay of a foreigner who has been living longer in Poland or has Polish origins indefinitely. It entitles you to work without having to apply for additional documents, as well as to travel within the Schengen area for up to 90 days in a period of 180 days.

Residence permit for a long-term EU resident
(EU long-term resident card)

The EU long-term resident's residence permit entitles you to permanent residence in Poland. The decision on issuing a residence permit is issued for an indefinite period. The residence card itself is valid for 5 years, which means that the card must be replaced every 5 years as part of the card replacement procedure. It authorizes you to perform work without additional documents.

Polish Card

The Polish Card is a document confirming Polish nationality. A foreigner who has obtained the Polish Card may apply for a national visa. Additionally, this document authorizes you to work in the territory of the Republic of Poland without the need to obtain additional documents. The Polish Card is not a document legalizing stay in the territory of Poland and does not authorize to cross the border.

Finding a school

To obtain a long-term EU resident permit, it is necessary to demonstrate proficiency in the Polish language. One of the ways is to obtain is a diploma from school in Poland.

Invitation

Invitation for a foreigner enabling them to apply for a visa at the Polish consulate. However, it is not a document granting the right to enter Poland or authorizing employment within the country.

Appeals and complaints

Each administrative decision made by the first instance authority in a proceeding allows the party to appeal to the higher authority. If the second instance authority upholds an unfavorable decision, you may file a complaint with the administrative court

Restoring benefits

The loss of the UKR status, even without leaving Poland for a period over 30 days, results in the cessation of social benefits. There are also cases where benefits are not disbursed despite maintaining UKR status. The procedure we have developed leads to the resumption of benefit payments
